I agree entirely, and of course in most cases it isn't anything to do with shill bidding - I've been outbid many many times (just as well - can't afford to win them all 
) and no doubt will be again.
However in this case it was a shill bidder - in fact so obvious, it was almost sad. Case was reported to Ebay.
