Frontier, United, Delta and America West can all get you from DEN to LAS. From past experience, Delta connects in SLC and it can be a tight connection time-wise, 35 minutes isn't unusual. America West usually wants to fly you through Phoenix, tho' they may have some direct flights out of Denver, as they have two or three direct out of COS. You might want to start looking at buying the plane ticket now, even if it might seem too far ahead. There's no telling what plane tickets will cost next year. I bought my round trip tickets for the Palms show this November last week, paid $177 on America West, non-stop both ways.

You can get a room on the cheap at the Stardust (their old motel-type original rooms) or at the Westward Ho, both right across the street from the Riv. Or you can spend as much as you want anywhere. What ever you decide to do as far as a room is concerned, if you gamble at all, do not buy a package deal (airfare and hotel) or book the hotel through anyplace but the hotel itself. If you don't book directly, asking for an adjustment on your hotel room bill becomes difficult to impossible to receive.

Rental cars are cheap in Vegas, it's up to you to decide if you need one. There's the monorail and the CAT bus system in place, cabs aren't cheap to go anywhere, but they can be the quickest way to get out of a place. ...unless Andy is around, then he can be the quickest way out of anyplace.
