I use: Epson Perfection 1250...
In Response To: Scanner/software question ()

Hey Ron,

I'm not rich enough to have any $1.00 in my collection let alone a Sand $1.00 chip. grin As a result, I scanned a pink fifty cent chip from Kansas City today for you as an example....

The scanner that I use is a flatbed Epson Perfection 1250. I think it does a great job. The 1250 model is a few years old and I'm sure there are other better models out now.

I especially like the scanning software that comes with it. It allows me to prescan a page full of chips. Then I can setup a 260 by 260 pixel box that I can drag around and scan each chip individually. Gives me a quick and easy way to ensure all my chip scans are of identical size.

btw, I still have all those chips that you wanted from me. Sorry I missed you at the KC Club meeting. I can just drop them in the mail if you wish...
