Scanner/software question

I have a few of question regarding scanners and scanning software.

I’m looking into buying new scanner that will scan all the fluorescent colored chips. Anyone have any recommendations in the best scanner to scan these chips?

Has anyone used a “glass panel” scanner (they let you see what you are scanning, so you don’t need to use software to rotate the chip).

Also, are you using the “standard” software and drivers that come with the scanner or are you upgrading the software drivers with a better software package.

I would really like to see a website that shows a scan by scan comparison of member’s chips scanned on various scanners. A perfect chip to use is the bright orange Sands $1.00 chip that seems to turn white on a lot of scanners.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
