More on Personal Chips....

It's been fun following the threads on the personal Chipco chips that Debby has been cranking out for everyone. In my mind every custom Chipco (whether ordered through us or not) is a great thing so I'm rooting Deb on and urge EVERYONE here to have a custom Chipco chip made for yourself.

As I looked over the racks and racks of custom chip samples I have here from the hundreds of thousands of Chipco chips we have made over the last seven years, I thought it would be fun to share some of them. Although not necessarily my favorites I think these personal chips came out great and have "good eyeball". I also thought you may like to see our two degree brushes with celebrity. Of course I never dealt with any celebrity directly (always with "their people") but it was fun knowing that Spiderman was going to be playing with our chips grin.

Here are a few great looking chips:

Now this is one of my all time favorite chips. I couldn't find the chip itself to scan for you (keep in mind racks and racks of samples) but here is the artwork. This guy was a big Notre Dame, Washington Redskin and U of Maryland Terrapin fan. The Camel was the mascot of a local high school team. Anyway, without violating any trademarks we assembled this poker game between his favorite mascots. I find humor in the fact that the Turtle (Terrapin) was dealt four aces and fell off his stool grin.

Here's a set we did for Kevin Smith. He wrote, produced and directed movies such as Clerks, Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting (Co-executive producer only) and Jersey Girl as well as a dozen of others. This six piece set represents characters from his Clerks movie so I am told. They are all two-sided chips (12 unique artworks) but here are the obverses:

This set of chips was a gift to Mark Cuban from his wife. Mark is a self made billionaire who owns the Dallas Mavericks as well as starring in "The Benefactor" this past fall season.

My last touch with major celebrity (there have been lots of "minor" ones) was a set we did for the actor Tobey Maguire. I'm still not sure of the story behind the childs drawing of a tree on his artwork. But this was what Tobey wanted, so that's what we did for him.

If you do want to get some artwork ideas for Debby to design your chips we have over 180 different artworks in our gallery on our website. The custom artwork gallery is within the free membership area of our site. There is no cost to sign up and besides the gallery we have available for download the Chipco color chart and a 8-page design guide that will help you design your chips whether Debby does your art or we do.

Hope you enjoyed the chips and I hope you have a very happy Memorial Day.
