Re: Will today's 21 year olds ....................

I am 29, and my favorite chip is the debated 1948/49 Thunderbird casino $5 chip. My old man wasn't even a twinkle in my Papa's eye when that chip was created, but I like to imagine what the place was like. I love the pictures of the old hotel and hearing the stories that people who have been there have told.

No matter what form it takes, Vegas will always be Vegas. With each passing era, a new chapter in Vegas history is written, which influences what the town is today and what it will become in the future. To me, that is a large part of the allure of chipping! I don't think the chippers of the future will lose interest in the history and chips of old Vegas any more than those of us who can't remember all the names of the members of the rat pack (I always forget the name of the guy that was hammered all the time). grin
