I am in my early 40's, and I have been to Vegas once, two years ago. I collect some limited edition chips if they appeal to me, but they don't have close to the appeal of the old-time casino chips. History is there.
If you are collecting limited editions today with an eye on making a buck down the line, that is fine, and I am sure there will be a market for those chips, but don't kid yourself. The passion for most lies in the history you feel when you hold it in your hand, and you don't need to have lived it to feel it.
