Follow up question--destroy, cancel??

In addition to the conversation described above, I have also been in contact with the legal department at the Washington State Gambling Commission. They are in the process of revising their regulations and asked if I'd provide them input on behalf of the hobby.

The question they raise is this--how would we, as collectors, prefer to see the chips from a closed Washington casino handled? Sold on the open market in bulk without restriction? Cancelled by the licensee before sale? Destroyed?

They acknowledge that they have little interest/control over collectors or sales of chips but they do have some significant authority over licensees when their licenses are terminated for whatever reason.

I'd appreciate your views, maybe just a simple reply to this message with your preference--i.e. no restriction on resale, cancel, destroy. Or any other potential solutions that you see.

Thanks--after I collect a sense of the board I will draft something to submit to the commission and post it on the board for review.
