That's one silly assumption. Microsoft is no longer shipping their JVM with their OS. What else can you use? Sun owns Java and the licensing Microsoft ends on December 31, 2007. Even on Microsoft's website, there are links to Sun's Java to download and they even point out that it's free.

This Java thing I brought up wasn't against your Chat. It's not even anti-Microsoft. Just telling people the alternatives to a to be discontinued product. As you have noticed that your new PC's OS doesn't come with MSJVM. Can you download it from Microsoft? Nope. The only alternative noted by Microsoft is to get the Sun's JRE (Java Runtime Environment).
