In this case, if anything, I would think au contrare. It was only issued in lucite. Removed from the lucite would IMO be worth less.

A chip issued in a souvenir case, for eaxmple, is likely to have a higher value to collectors if sold with the case, rather than loose. I dont see the difference here?
