From a buyers perspective....

Sell any potentially valuable chips individually. Folks looking for these chips will be buying soley on the basis of that chip.

Next, break the "run of the mill" $1 chips into lots to sell. For instance by area such as Tahoe, Deadwood, etc. or by another category. Many buyers such as myself like buying lots to help fill in a missing area (you can see that from the offers you have heard right here on this board).

Try to avoid mixing denominations as some buyers simply aren't interested in fractionals, $5, $10, etc.

Try to avoid mixing limited editions (which should probably be listed separately unless it is a complete set), fantasy, fun, and rack chips.

I think the above will get you the best possible price for your collection.
