Snipeing is someone else making a higher bid than you, and delaying entering the bid until the last second(through good timing/software/a service).
The problem is not the timing. The problem, for you, is that they are willing to pay more.
If you bid $100 for every chip you will not be outbid, snipeing or not.
Since you obviously are not going to bid $100 for every chip, you have to decide ahead of time how much you are actually willing to pay for the chip.
Then, with 15 or twenty seconds left, you enter what you are actually willing to pay for the chip, rather than bidding $.25 over the currant bid.
Now, you have made your best offer, the sniper has already made his best offer, and has no time to bid again. The highest bid will win.
If you still are not winning auctions, you are not bidding high enough.
Good luck.
