Re: Need Help Planning a Vegas vacaion

I'm lucky enough to get out there quite a bit. If it's just you and the misses I wouldn't stay at Excalibur. It's a walking children factory, a bit to family for me. Stratosphere is a bit down the strip, and imho the accomodations are not worth the price (you can find comparable for less). If you are trying to save money yet still be on the strip, Luxor is usually the cheapest stay.

You can also hunt for rack room rates with the casinos and sometimes come up with a good deal. TI is a nice hotel now and located in a great area on the strip, and can be had for $100 a night at times (though that weekend you have planned will proabably be more). Being where it's at you can ditch the car, because just about everything (save MGM, NY and Mandalay) are within walking distance.

cheapovegas.com is a really good website for planning your trip.
