They are all within 10 inutes driving from each other. The Horizon is the old Harrah's and I have stayed there more than the rest. Ameristar hotel is newer and nicer. I have never stayed at the Rainbow, but their casino is somewhat rundown. On the other hand I think they have been doing some renovation. It has been over a year since I was at the Rainbow. Recently new rack of chips and players card. If you are traveling with pets, the motel just south of the bridge is pet friendly.

As far as sites to see in that short of time. Along the river road ( the one that all the casinos are on ) I believe in between Ameristar and Isle of Capri is a small Civil War park that is interesting. You know on the banks above the big Mississippi where we fought off those Yankee invaders in their boats. In addition Vicksburg has a museum in the heart of downtown. It is in the old courthouse building. You can see pictures of my relatives from the turn of the century. I had one who was Police chief from 1904 to 1909 and another was the Sheriff from 1906 t0 1912 and another was the Fire chief about the same time. I guess if I was around then I could have done just about anything and got away with it. There is also a very large Military cemetery there that attacts a lot of tourist.
