The wife and I are planning on going to New Orleans in a few months to take advantage of another 3 nite free offer from Harrahs. Since I have never been to the mid-Mississippi casinos we plan on driving down and staying overnite in Vicksburg. There are 4 casino hotels which are all about the same price except Ameristar which is $20 more expensive. The question is - which hotel is the best one to stay at in Vicksburg? And are any of those hotels to be avoided? What are the best sites to see in Vicksburg during our short (overnite and the next morning) stay there?
