My wife does the same thing as me. Of course, I taught her how to do it. Problem being is that I have been doing it for 33 years and she has been doing it for ten and 1/2...We ocassionally have divergent opinions on how to run these 20,000+ ton trains.

My kudos to her...she is one of the best and the smoothest. When I trained her on the old GE Dash 8's I would put a cup of water on the console and say, "It had better stay there." Tons of slack action possible on the big trains. Going down hill if you don't get it right it will knock you right out of the seat. Then, of course there was the other fun. Always a 3 handed pitch game going on. Ok, run the train, keep score, deal, shuffle, and keep an eye on the speedometer...learn to run it on the nub...She learned how to do it well...I am very proud of her.
