I had the return trip from hell. Returning home from Vegas yesterday, my flight had a connection in Cincinatti before the final destination of Toledo.

When I arrived in Cincinatti, I discovered my flight to Toledo had been delayed. Then it was delayed a second time before it was canceled.

At that time (MIDNIGHT) I was informed I would have to wait until the following morning for the next flight out. I was given a hotel voucher for a room and a 7.00 voucher for breakfast.

I then went one the little train and the shuttle bus to get to baggage claim to pick up my suitcase which didnt appear. When I asked at the baggage claim desk, I was informed I couldnt have my bag as it would be forwarded to Toledo on my morning flight. I told them I needed it for clean clothes, and my bathroom kit. No go. They would not give it to me. They did, however, give me a little "overnight kit" which included $1.37 worth of stuff. Life is full when you can get your toothpaste from a little square foil pouch. And lets not for get the little foil pouch with shaving cream. It would have been even better if the kit had a razor, but hey...ya can't have everything.

Holiday Inn only had a room with a full size bed, in a huge 12' X 12' room. Well...so they claimed. It did have a bathroom and running water, so I guess I should be thankful.

Alrighty...now to the next fun part. I arrived in Toledo and went to get my baggage. It wasnt there. I asked at the delta counter and the clerk called to the back. They had the bag there. Ok...good!

When she wheeled out my suitcase, I could see all the pocket zippers were open a few inches. I said jokingly, "Those security people need to make sure they close everything up a little better" The clerk told me, "You should go through it and make sure everything is there" I laughed, said I would, and left.

When I unpacked at home, I discovered that my Sony digital camera had been removed from the camera case and was gone. Also missing from the camera case was the four memory sticks! They took the camera and memory sticks, but left the camera case.

As if loosing the really nice digital camera wasn't bad enough, I had been taking pictures like a madman to use on my website. I had pictures of all of alll of the casinos that have table games in Vegas. Also I had taken a ton of pictures of Henderson casinos and all of the Parhump casinos! There were literally hundreds of pictures on there.

I am so pissed at Delta for not giving me my bag when I asked for it. I know damned well it had to have happened there in Cincinatti overnight.

I've called Delta, and all they say is they'll send me a claim form in the mail.

Oh yeah, did I mention they made me buy my own stinkin' lunch on the plane? $8.00 for a lousy sandwich.
