In Reno last week, picked up some "new" $1 at Harrah's which, I was told, were made for their new poker room. When I got them home and looked them over I found two variations as seen in the scan. The one on the left has a large "$1", a slightly lighter purple field and the red and yellow stars are slightly lighter in color.

And, here's the kicker, at least in my eyes, the one on the left with the large $1 is identical to one I bought a couple of years ago. It is in TCR, N8525, and was issued in 1996 and "pulled after 3 wks." along with an orange $2.50, N8526.

What's the deal? Did they pull the "large $1" out of storage?
