YOU'RE EITHER UP TOO EARLY

Or to bed too late, Pete. Is that what the desert air does to you. grin Your response is accurate to a point--but there is a federal law prohibiting interstate gambling using telephones. I don't know if there have been some suits filed against ordinary gamblers--would tax the feds resources beyond their present ability. They would like to shut down the gambling sites but haven't been successful yet. It's the usual U.S. stupidity--call something immoral and criminalize it, instead of regulating it for income--as other countries have done. Several of the big players in the US (MGM, SANDS, INC (Venetian) et al) have or are investigating internet gambling but have yet to act and I doubt will do so given the Nevada laws & gambling regs and Federal and State laws against gambling. The best source for info on this would be either the L.V. person, whose name I forget, at UNLV or I. Nelson Rose.
