Re: I have a question? Is $2 to much for a $1 chip

Tracy,

Yes, $2.00 a chip is a fair retail price for chips. The key word is "retail"

An important question to ask is when you made arrangements with the person, did you let them know ahead of time that you were looking for more then face value for the chips, or did you just make a post like "Going to Jacpot if anyone needs chips" Did you mention in the emails to that person that you had a certain resale amount in mind? If not, then it's understandable why that person would assume that you were giving a generous offer to pick up chips for people. If that person was looking to pick up some traders, then it makes sense that he wouldn't want to pay a premium for current chips.

Many of us do that very same thing. As stated in other posts, there is the "chips for face" where people pick up chips for everyone at face value, and then $1.00 for shipping.

On the chipboard, there are many of us who have developed great friendships. I for one pick up chips for people all the time at face value as I travel around the country for work. Many of the other chippers here do the very same thing. In fact, many of us don't even bother sending money back and forth, but rather just keep a running total. It'll go back and forth who owes what.

Back to the point, it would all depend on if you let that person know ahead of time that you wanted $2.00 a chip.
