Re: Three slabs sold to a chip collector?

How do you know they are slabbed? The auction doesn't say so. There are snap-together plastic holders for coins now that look just like the holders used by the grading concerns.

Interesting that this company uses a scale of 1-10, not 1-100 as in James' book and as is customary for coins. As I recall, the fine granularity of the original system was one of the objections that some of the vocal anti-graders on the board had.

If this should be just a nice plastic holder, with the seller writing his idea of the grade of the chip on a sticker, are there still opponents to this concept? Just throwing this out for comment. I don't think we need encapsulated chips either, but don't see a problem with plastic holders and labels.
