I think it quite noble of you to stand up for someone that you feel is being wronged.

However, you are missing a few critical points in your logic.

Very simply, the contention is not if he has the right to quote any reference, of course he does, assuming the reference is valid. The contention is rather does he have the right to quote a reference which is old, outdated and openely accepted in the field as being obsolete.

Nobody is questioning if he pays his bills on time, or pays his taxes or eats enough fiber everyday. And what others do does not impact on the rightness or wrongness of his eBay practices. The issue is not if he mails out his chips in a timly manner, or if he is polite in his communications.

What this is all about is quoting values that are long outdated, and more times then not, dramtically incorrect. This is misleading, especially to those potential buyers that just don't know any better. Many chippers that buy from him realize the values are wrong, and just take the time to look them up in a current TCR. But there are many new collectors that don't have a TCR and assume that the values that Captbanjo has listed in his auctions are true and realistic values. Captbanjo doesn't state that the referrence he is quoting from is 4 years old, does he?

Another flaw in your logic is to state that you got burned a few times and chaulked it up to experience. Are you saying that since you got burned and it's no big deal, that therefore it's acceptable that others get burned?? I'm sure your answer would be no.

Again, I think it noble of you to stand up for you what you felt was an injudice. I thank you for that.
