Tom, Your missing the point

Yes, he quoted values from a valid book. He stated clearly where he got them. However, the seller is a knowledgable chipper and KNOWS that these values are incorrect. He purposfully listed the auction that way and quoted the incorrect values to lure in those who are unaware.

No difference from me trying to sell Enron Stock and announcing that it is Quoted in the Wall Street Journal for $103 a share. Only problem is that I neglected to tell you that the issue where I pulled this qoute from was 4 years old.

Now while most people who are familiar with chip collection know of the value value drop on these Binions chips, by intentionally quoting a price that the seller knows to be incorrect, he is praying on those new to collecting and in effect doing a diservice to this hobby as a whole.

I reqoute Gene from the previous post:
"Lastly, no HONEST SELLER WOULD USE OLD VALUES WHEN CURRENT VALUES ARE AVAILABLE!"

This seller who is a club member, out to be ashamed of what he is doing.

Re: CHIP VALUES? Wrong.
Book values only mean what someone else paid.
