Decisiveness in a leader ...
In Response To: Re: OK ()

... is a desirable characteristic, Bob. However, when that decisiveness is not based upon rational, reasonable thinking, it becomes a significant liability. A list of historical "decisive" disasters would be virtually endless (for just a few, think of the Titanic, Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg and the Charge of the Light Brigade at Balaclava).

As for George Bush's decisions, I believe they are primarily driven by: (1) his inflexible, neoconservative political idealogy (i.e., as set forth by PNAC); (2) his intolerant, fundamentalist religious beliefs; and (3) the interests of his business friends and political sponsors.

I don't much care for John Kerry. But, I think George Bush is the worst and arguably the most dangerous president of the last 100 years. I wouldn't vote for Bozo the Clown, but can think of only one prominent person I would put below Bush on my list of presidential preferences (Hillary Clinton).
