The slam is where he publicly named me in Andy's site, then the first sentence is "What slam are you talking about?" Jim I didn't know there were others.

What slam are you taking about? I will gladly have Andy take down anything that is bothering you. Tell me something my friend don’t you have anything else to do with your life but continue on with this “crap’? Just simply tell me what is bothering you and I will fix it if it is in my control. The last thing I wish to do is carry on an item of discourse with you. I would rather you debate with our friend Sax. At least your energy will have not been wasted in vain. .

I just read what you wrote on Andy's board (I do not go there unless I am shopping for chips) and remembered you posted on the board something to the effect "Now can we both drop this topic". I have no problem until I realized that the thread on the chipboard will go away and the slam to me on Andy's board will not and I cannot make a statement in response to it. You are not my enemy. I respect much of what you write on the board involving various subjects other than chips. I thought perhaps you had read my observation involving courtesy I had written over 30 days ago. At that point I included a little note within the write up to you that stated (Mike, please don’t take the photos down) apparently you don’t read much of what I write. . I just assumed, and obviously I should not have, that an email would be forth coming from you ASKING permission for an act that already had taken place. You didn’t bother writing to me. This was the first level of my getting pissed off. Secondly, I have Archie posting upon all the other BB what a wonderful project you have started especially since you have gotten all the names correct with each picture. This added to the second level of my irritation. Finally, I scan the board seeing a reply from Andy to Archie’s note stating that over 50% of the pictures on your web site are ones that I took. I next looked for you note that should have followed thanking me for the pictures…………………no note. No explanation, no comment from you or NO EMAIL! Finally, the ONLY permission I granted to use the photos was to Al Anderson the editor of our magazine and than ONLY if he gave credit for the picture within the magazine. Perhaps I should have emailed you and inquired WHY; but I really didn’t believe it was my responsibility to do so. If you read my observation you would have understood that I understood you meant no harm and was trying to do a kind act for all.

Mike I was also tired last night. I had driven 660 miles non stop coming back from Sacramento and probably would not have written what I did but it really rubbed me the wrong way; especially Archie’s posts on other BB. I have usually extended courtesy to all individuals I have contact with. You my friend are no different. I didn’t mean to embarrass you but I already was embarrassed by the actions of others. Anyway, isn’t it true that the only one who can embarrass us is ourselves?

The matter is dropped with me and I hope it is dropped with you. I promise you that in the future I will be well rested before I blow my top! .

You said I knew. I didn't know I knew. And if you gave Andy EXCLUSIVE rights doesn't that mean ALL OTHERS ARE EXCLUDED? And in the next sentence you say you granted rights to all that emailed you. That either means it was not exclusive to Andy OR no one emailed you. After reading everything I don't buy that you would have given me permission because you had already granted it to Andy. But that is beside the point. I'm sure Andy wanted them to draw customer$ visiting his site. I was wrong in using them but I assure you I did not know about an agreement with Andy, and I have tried to remedy the situation as best I know how, the fact is I had no ill intent nor did I know Andy had exclusive rights. If you would have simply explained to me the situation in an email I would have deleted them. I don't understand why the public drama unless it was for retaliation of my actions and to try to publicly humiliate me. Even that you are within your right, it was just not needed for me to realize the problem and have me take them down. Point is there is no need for a shotgun to kill a fly! I am truly sorry, I was not trying to make enemies.
