I realize you are serious. but you are confusing the causal effects with other facts. It is sad that your friend's identity was stolen and that he took his life. It was not simply because his name and his picture were together. There had to be much more before his identity could have been stolen, something else had to be available to the thief. Account numbers, social security numbers, and etc. with out them your are at a dead end (no pun intended). The humor others are seeing is your unnatural paranoia. Safeguarding you information is a smart thing to do, but you can take it to extremes which you are doing. I understand your sensitivity to it because of your friend, but it is still cautious way beyond logic. I would love to hear a scenario where account access can be gained by a photo (of some one else) with a name. The cause of identity theft was something else, and identity theft does not cause suicide. Otherwise everyone who has suffered identity theft would be dead. Again this is really unfortunate and I am only trying to point out that each event did not force the next one to happen without additional circumstances.
