Phyllis my opinion on this is a bit different than yours. If I bid on an auction and I don't get the package within a reasonable time, I email the seller to see when it was sent. Of course you made a simple request of the seller and it was too much trouble for them to comply. Even if wasn't his normal practice he could have done it. That's just bad customer service. Not so uncommon on ebay.

I'm not really talking about receiving payment, though. Timely receipt of the goods is enough for me. The mortgage company doesn't tell me when they got my check. grin

On the other hand, I imagine there are plenty of sellers on ebay that because of their volume, they don't care if you let them know when you receive the goods. I would still send an email to be on the polite side.

But, what I'm talking about isn't a transaction with a business. It's about a transaction between two individuals or even worse a gift that's been sent.
