NCR Yesterday BankNote For Your Viewing Pleasure

OOPS, with the banknote giveaway yesterday I completely omitted posting a note for display.

So without further ado, yesterday's banknote is from Brazil and it is an example of currency in times of sever inflation. It is a 1993 issue currency reform note. What that means is the 50,000 Cruzeiros note (a 1991 issue) has been OVERSTAMPED with a black circular stamp reading "50 Cruzeiros" and re-issued, in essence they dropped 3 zeros. While the "buying power" of the note remains the same the psychological impact of seeing the money shrinking must be a bitter pill to swallow. The man shown is C. Cascudo, but to me he looks like Billy Graham. So, I call this my "Billy Graham note" grin Enjoy yesterday's belated selection!
