My 1990 A.C. Catalog was the first catalog in the hobby to feature color illustrations of chips (along with my copywritten A.C. numbering system) which has evolved to become the widely accepted reference standard for Atlantic City material.

Other catalogs with A.C. chips that have been published more recently have developed their own numbering systems for A.C. chips. To merely put a prefix designating States before different numbering systems in different catalogs would only add confusion to a problem that does not signifcantly exist.

Until an all-inclusive universal chip catalog comes along under one cover ... or several volumes (like Scott's in the stamp hobby) that covers all gaming juristictions, published by one entity, I don't think it is practical for today's authors and collectors to adapt to new systems which would require complete renovations to personal data bases that have been developed over many years.
