yes, CIC could stand for for coin-inlay-chip. I normally use it as an abbreviation for coin-in-center. Essentially the same thing thing. And yes, the ones you brought are CICs. The centers will fall out in time depending on how treat them. The poker games I play in get pretty heated and chips are sometimes slammed onto the table. That tends to make the coin centers fall out. If you treat them right though, that shouldn't happen to yours.
I didn't want you to confuse CICs with metal insert chips. Those are the other type of Bud Jones chip. You can't see the metal but it is in there. I like those because they are virtually indestructible. I have one up on Ebay right now. Do a search for "$100 Bud Jones chip". That should bring you to the listing. Sorry, for the bad pic.
Bud Jones chips are each about 1-2 grams heavier than their Paulson counterparts. How heavy were you expecting them to be?
