Vic; Ebay sellers make "wishful thinking" claims all the time. I don't know the seller or from where he/she obtained the chip. Maybe it was purchased from the original owner ... I don't really know. I do know that a chip similar to it, with the mountain side doubled, was illustrated in my 2001 catalog and it wasn't until my 2003 catalog that the "mate side" doubled was reported and listed. I don't believe that the minimum bid will be realized however. I know most of the A.C. error chip collectors and very few of them will pay more than $300-$400 for this type of error.
