I had the same problem...

it's not just pink, it's any fluorescent color. I had a Canon scanner that did the same thing. I bought a Lexmark printer/scanner and it also washed-out the fluorescents.

I finally bought a HP flatbed scanner (not a scanner/printer) and it scans the chips with their true colors. My buddy Murph also has an HP scanner/printer that scans the true color.
