Re: do/did casinos ever use "coolers"?

I have heard that this officially existed in LV casinos back in the good old days prior to 1980. I do recall several instances 20-25 yrs ago in LV where very high winners were being wrongly interupted by various casino pit employees bad luck?). I hope this practice doesn't exist anymore since I'm going to Vegas next week for some serious blackjack! Although my favorite gambling sites are similar to the movie's "Shangra La Casino", so I better be on the lookout!
