Re: I do not know which Club Forrest this is from

While I assume it's the "original" Club Forest I was just wondering if there were places with that name scattered around the US.

When I saw it, I was reminded of the old roadhouse near here, where they have underground tunnels, supposedly for customers of the house, the game and the speakeasy, to escape or hide, during a raid.

The place was named Club Forest. Through a few owners I've asked if they ever found any old poker chips while cleaning up. grin The tunnels have been sealed, but ran from the basement of the restaurant to a home across the road, and possibly the rivers edge.

I have metal detected the area and scrounged around in the cellar, but it's been through at least six modern owners in the past 15 years, so it's been cleaned out a number of times.

Of all things, in it's most recent incarnation, it's a Mexican restaurant.
