This has been discussed before a few years ago and I don't think it will ever happen. The authors are (rightfully so) worried that people will copy the CD and give it to their friends, etc. I do think that with some effort a pay website could be made that would be password and web address protected but that may be more than we can hope for. And it still may not be theft proof. Although I do agree it would be great to have a wireless laptop at the convention and be able to pop in a TCR number and get all of the relevant data including if it is in your collection alreay.
