As a "low roller" I must agree. grin

That's my line for the Strikes and now it's come to chips. They are only worth face value. (and sometimes less)

I had to remind myself last time I bought a 25c Elko chip for $85, or paid $15 for a NCV from Wisconsin, that it's just worth something to the person who wants it.

I don't collect LEs. I'm fed up with too many issues and the tactics of some casinos in issuing them with one or two people controlling distribution. (which has been stopped) But other people do and enjoy collecting LEs... have fun. Hard Rock? Even though I tried, I still don't own one, and plan on not owning one in the future.

Special issues and LEs do attract more people to the hobby.

I'm forced to agree with Vic on one point, that if you are investing in chips, new issues and LEs are a poor choice. Pick something old and scarce, which will always be collectible, not a fad.

I also agree with Gene and have hesitated to write anything here, but if someone wishes to stab collectors for shipping, on a per chip basis and then ship them together and tell the buyer to stuff it where the Sun doesn't shine, I will NEVER buy anything from that seller. I suggest that others recognize the situation and also avoid buying from people with questionable practices and bad attitudes.

It's not a personal issue, it's a matter of ethics.
