The same thing happened with a payment that the person said they never received...I did resend the payment. And everything worked out well.

If that is the case, then in fact, you did guarantee delivery and everyone was satisfied.

That is not true. You apparently replaced the goods with similiar items, a refund of money or by other satisfactory means. In fact, you did guarantee delivery which is what most other chippers do.
