Re: Casino Encased Coins
In Response To: Casino Encased Coins ()

Hi Tentman!
Thanks for showing us grin ! I've never heard of encased pennies from The California and Lucky Clubs! We do have one from the Eldorado, Las Vegas, and from Zeke's in Elko (among others).

We also have one of the Silver Dollars, in the bezel (?), that someone posted earlier. To me, it didn't look like it ever had a ring on it (I even looked at it with a jewelers loupe, after your earlier post). Funny thing, the one posted earlier had the bezel on the obverse, ours has it on the reverse. Our dollar is 1923, with a pencilled date of 1948 on the back.

grin Is this a great hobby, or what?! grin Ya never know whatcher gonna find with a casino name on it! vbg

Hey...isn't it about time for a picture of the kid? Didn't he have his first birthday recently? Got a picture of him all gooey with frosting from his cake? grin
