In my family, if you didn't learn early to play cards, and play well, you were threatened with being taken out and drowned...They played all forms of Poker, Whist, Bridge, Pan, Pinochle, 7 Deck Canasta, Hearts(FOR BLOOD), Euchre, 4 Point Pitch, Spades...probably more...It was fun though...
