When my oldest daughter found out that she was pregnant a year ago(after being married for 5 years) my wife decided that she just HAD to live near her new granddaughter. So we put our house up for sale in Febuary along with 4 lots we have in our subdivision. While in Las Vegas last week, about two hours into my day trading seminar I get a message to call the wife at the hotel. Turns out we had an offer on the house and a lot or two. After negotiating for two days we sold the house and one lot. When we flew back from Vegas we spent two days in the Nashville area looking for our new house. After looking at several we found a few we liked and offered on one of them. After two more days of negotiating we got the house we wanted. It sounds like is should be a good deal. We ended up with 300 more sq. ft. and paid $70K less than we sold out house for.

Now comes the fun. We got the movers coming Oct. 7th. We close on the old house Oct 8, drive to Nashville and close on the new house the same day. Mover to unload Oct 8 or 9. Whew - gonna be a rough week. But at least the wife is happy.
