I arrive at the values based on condition for one & your sale of $100 must of been bad condition or real bad timing on ebay or a bad picture. There's many things to consider when it comes to ebay sales.
Personal experience of which I feel I have more than anyone of course needs to be used to value chips. If a person is very involved in a business & is part of sales they should have a lot of knowledge on the subject. Which for chips I feel I do.
We can price like chips the same such as kens & Jackpot $5's. Sometimes we have to do this & average a price to print as some chips aren't on the market often.
Yes I do agree some values have gone down. Many actually due to ebay but ebay is not the final word as in auctions many times items go cheaper then retail. I am tracking prices & keeping notes & have a better handle than anyone & hope to do another book that reflects the changes for every chip. Each & every one has to be revalued.
I would sure like to know how many Kens sell which are at a fair price so should do well so I can guage the demand for small towns. Are they hotter than Reno? I know Tahoe has a strong demand but nothing compares to Vegas.
