Re: Small Town Elko

But then there are oddballs like me who like the old Small Town Nevada chips... I bought one of the Town House and one of the Jackpot $5s in the last couple of weeks. Not bad for a "cheap" chipper, but they are Elko!

I found two of the Commercial Hotel $5 Nevada mold last trip. (same chip you had up for auction last week on eBay) Sold one for under $100 on eBay.

How do you arrive at values James? Sales or personal estimates? If you are seeing sales which fall well below the book, doesn't that mean the "book" (yours or anyone elses) needs to be revised down?

If the Townhouse chips don't sell out in the next month, all it shows it levels of interest in a particulr chip. The Price is very fair and a good value for the buyer. When they are all gone, the book on them will do nothing but climb, based on desire to own.

I keep thinking there are so many good chips, that I'm not going to knock myself out with anything "must have". There are enough other options for nice looking, old, interesting chips. Especially from small Northern Nevada towns.
