I'm kinda in the same boat as you...

I'm looking to start selling on eBay. I need to sell a bunch of chips that I either have duplicates of or have upgraded...none of the rarity of Steve P's chips. I do believe that an auction for a higher end chip seems to generate a better price when it starts at a fair price and the bidders get into a bidding war. One recent example was a $5 Green Shack chip...the auction started at $25 or so and the final price was $240+-...a bit more than I paid at a recent chip show and more than other recent sales for the same chip. The "reserve" tag just seems to quell interest and/or bidding wars on an auction.

Good luck on your future auctions, Bill!! grin Steve B
