OK, I have the concept of the higher bid showing up as part of the earlier maximum bid amount and the time it was logged in preceding mine. BUT, wouldn't that bidder's ID have to be in an earlier time frame at least once?

Look at the auction in question and tell me how the bidder whose time frame was 1 hour earlier, which I understand, did not appear previously at any time, as if he had never bid at all!
