Re: This is puzzling

Geez, now your asking questions I have no idea how to answer. As you know I don't do ebay.
If I remember right, someone sent me the link and asked my opinion on the chips since they were not in TCR. A couple days later I got an email from him saying nevermind it had progressed out of his range.
In passing I mentioned to Charles I saw some real nice chips on ebay. I also told him they were not going to go cheap as I had noticed two big names on the bidding list, one being CT.
5 or 6 days later Charles was very excited. He said he had outsniped the chips with a 7 second bid just before the auction ended. I believe he was the high bidder for the last two days until the last minutes.
Now you know what I know.

Charles asked for advice, I gave mine and asked others for theirs. I talked to the source that found the Jackpot Club Elko arrowdie $5 back in 94, I think. It was a 100 chip find and a Q chip today. I thought that find was very relative to Charles's chips. Two members split that buy on ebay. Both of the finders are readers/posters of this BB.

I gave Charles a long lecture on setting a price he could live with and sticking to it. I also warned him of selling and wholesaling at the same time. I also told him that he would have to protect his buyers for a certain amount of time against another find coming out. I forgot, but I think the unwritten rule is 30 days. I'm sure Jimbo will remind me on the time line in case something else comes out. grin Charles said he would.

I went through them and picked out one for me. It was an easy pick as all are very good including the shine in the mold. I sent out a few emails to friends that I thought would want one. Several did including THE arrowdie collector. grin
I don't think Allan Myers will mind that I say he bought one and paid $90.
