With the Seminole Club and the Little Palm Club in full action next one of Flagler's hotel in Miami and the problems the Floridian Hotel brought there was little room for such a high class operation to be running during the period! St. Augestine had one early gambling place that moved to Palm Beach. Both started by Flagler, who would not allow gambling in or at any of his hotels so he hired a man called Ed Bradley. The Palm beach club was called the Beach Club. It was the longest running illegal club in Florida. Started in 1899 and cloed in 1946! St Augestine was no longer a stop on the way to Miami with the Beach Club in full force. The two Miami clubs stated above could never match Bradley's and only existed for short periods.
