Reminds me of a few years back when I read that a group of animal rights activists wanted to change the name of the Town of Fishkill, they felt killing fish was not something that should be celebrated. (of course kill in Fishkill is actually reference to a Dutch word for river or creek). The thing that really bothered me was that I used to live on the Normanskill and these activists were so worked up about protecting the fish but not a word about protecting Normans.
