Jim; As most Americans and many non-Americans know, the only qualifications to become President of the United States is that one must be at least 35 years of age and be an American citizen.

While Jesus Christ was not a U.S. citizen, I'm sure that if he were ever President of the U.S. there would be a sizeable segment of the population that would be opposed to Him as well. President Bush is currently enjoying an 80% approval rating of the U.S. public with respect to how he is conducting the war. This popularity won't last ... and that's not taking a shot at Bush. It's inevitable that upon the first set-back, some fickle Americans will be switching sides again and the polls will drop.

My personal admiration of President Clinton ... putting aside his sexcapades, and my admiration of many U.S. Presidents before him (from both political parties) will not be diminished by the Clinton haters in the world. Did he have his flaws? You bet! I think lots of folks who are espousing such holier-than-thou high moral standards regarding his relationship with Monica Lewinski ought to take a second look in the mirror. Many of these 35+ year old U.S. citizens now looking in the mirror have sinned much worse ... and these are the same kind of "ordinary folks" our forefathers were culled from who have been our country's leaders of the past ... our legacy if you will... with all our flaws. We're not all clones of Lincoln and Washington ... or Clinton, or Bush.... or Christ.
