I'm with DonL on this one. If you are expecting to have a fair amount of valuables packed into your luggage and are not renting a car for the entire stay, rent one for the last day and put your stuff in the trunk. Rent a white car and stop at a 7-11, buy a styrofoam cooler for $3, fill it with a couple bags of ice and put it in the trunk too, if you need temperature control. ...though you probably don't.
