My suggestion - if you drive to Biloxi (or Gulfport, or Bay St. Louis) from New Orleans, don't take I-10 . . Take SR 20 (The Gulf Coast Highway.) It is a much more interesting drive . . and the juxtaposition of the blue-coloar shrimping villages in Louisiana to the Southern Aristocracy of the Gulf Coast of Mississippi is amazing.
